When You Lose Everything…

(Thanks to Brunch Noir for this meme!)

I’ve been very quiet here lately. I apologize for that. I wish I could express what I’m feeling right now. But, even this is so hard. I’ve been sitting at my kitchen table, staring at my computer for about 45 minutes now. Instead of writing this, I’ve paid all of my bills, ate breakfast, had a cup of coffee, and texted my friend about work.

Ah, “work”. I’m pushing 34 and peddling beer and burgers. More on that later.

Post BookCon Update!

I am horrible at blogging. I’m sorry. I just need to get that off my chest. LOL. BookCon was so much fun! I’m so glad I got to finally see the gorgeous city of Chicago and spend some time walking around downtown (see: I ate at Lou Malati’s and almost passed out at the Sky Deck of the Willis Tower). Anyway, I’m equally as excited that I finally was able to meet more of my amazing GMMG family. Most importantly, my editor Mandy Schoen! I owe so much of SAFE WITH YOU to her! Not to mention, I was also able to meet fellow Swoon Romance author Patricia Tighe and Swoon assistant Katie Bailey!

The signing went great! Especially for being a debut author, I didn’t really know what to expect. I spent the majority of my morning handing out postcards trying to create a buzz and it worked! Hopefully, even more readers check it out via the amazon link on the back of the card. I had so much fun and I hope to have even more books to display next year! 🙂

In other news, I’ve realized that if I’m sitting at a bar, I’ll make friends with anyone. I ran into YA author Britt Holewinski who was nice enough to give me a copy of her book SCHISM! I also randomly wound up sitting next to the review and blogging powerhouse, Amber Sweeney of Me, My Shelf, and I!

SAFE WITH YOU is finally here! I wouldn’t be here today with out the help of so many people! I hope everyone enjoys Kyle and Olivia’s story as much as I do! xoxo

Four-Star review from Kimberly Faye Reads!

Just about a year ago, I met the lovely Kimberly on line for a signing at BEA at the Javits in NYC. She was sweet enough to let me use her portable charger for my dying phone and we got to talking. I’m so glad we stayed in touch and were able to schedule a review. Hop on over to her blog to check out what she thought!

Teacups and Book Love Review!

Can I love a review? Because I do. I’ve found it takes a lot to randomly send out my book to people in hopes that it doesn’t crash and burn like the Hindenburg. I also didn’t expect the heartburn involved in waiting to get said reviews back. But all in all, it’s been a great ride.

Jullie over at Teacups and Book Love sent me her review of SAFE WITH YOU yesterday and I laughed so hard at her kindle notes I almost cried. WHO DOESN’T LOVE CAM? (#JulioChild #JoaoBravo) Her review was so honest and it totally captured everything I wanted someone to get out of SWY.

Normally, I would just link to the review page, but I think this warrants a read more tag!

Thanks again, Jullie!
