Post BookCon Update!

I am horrible at blogging. I’m sorry. I just need to get that off my chest. LOL. BookCon was so much fun! I’m so glad I got to finally see the gorgeous city of Chicago and spend some time walking around downtown (see: I ate at Lou Malati’s and almost passed out at the Sky Deck of the Willis Tower). Anyway, I’m equally as excited that I finally was able to meet more of my amazing GMMG family. Most importantly, my editor Mandy Schoen! I owe so much of SAFE WITH YOU to her! Not to mention, I was also able to meet fellow Swoon Romance author Patricia Tighe and Swoon assistant Katie Bailey!

The signing went great! Especially for being a debut author, I didn’t really know what to expect. I spent the majority of my morning handing out postcards trying to create a buzz and it worked! Hopefully, even more readers check it out via the amazon link on the back of the card. I had so much fun and I hope to have even more books to display next year! πŸ™‚

In other news, I’ve realized that if I’m sitting at a bar, I’ll make friends with anyone. I ran into YA author Britt Holewinski who was nice enough to give me a copy of her book SCHISM! I also randomly wound up sitting next to the review and blogging powerhouse, Amber Sweeney of Me, My Shelf, and I!

Amber and I hit it off right away! We wound up sitting at the bar and having a few drinks while gushing over our favorite NA reads (of course, I gifted her one specific book that I happen to know quite well, haha). Before I knew it, three hours had passed! So crazy! I’m so glad I was able to chat with her and make a great new friend. Hopefully, I’ll see her again next year at BEA / BookCon in the city! πŸ™‚

I didn’t take many pictures, but here’s a few!
